How can space be organized in a more efficient way and create an acceptable indoor climate?

Indoor climate comprises of aspects such as thermal conditions, air quality, light, sound. We have mainly focused on the thermal conditions i.e. the temperature inside and the movement of the air.. The CT climate is relatively even. The climate in Cape Town varies over the year and especially during one day. In the winter the temperature difference can be high during one day. For people in the Cape Flats it’s both a question of heating and cooling. A majority of the structures today – both formal and informal – have non-insulated corrugated iron as roof sheeting. This creates a sometimes unbearable heat inside the homes. There’s is often also a lack of proper ventilation.
